The braXos LDAP Connector, when deployed into the braXos Steward middleware platform, allows Microsoft Active Directory customers the flexibility of synchronizing data into and out of directory services. Furthermore, the dynamic rules engine at the heart of braXos Steward middleware allows complex synchronization rules to be defined that satisfy the most demanding synchronization requirements. Users of the connector can:

• Perform near real-time synchronization of Active Directory objects into other systems, such as access control systems, for on-boarding/off-boarding automation
• Qualify participation in the synchronization based upon the container in which the objects reside, the groups in which the object is a member (either directly or recursively), any attribute on the object itself, or any combination of the above
• Map security groups into access control access levels, so physical access to controlled spaces can be managed by the Active Directory administrator through the assignment of an employee into a particular group
• Provision security credential information from the enterprise access control platform into Active Directory, facilitating additional security automation with LDAP-based enterprise products such as card reader enabled printers, vending machines, etc.
• Persist picture information from the system of record for employee photos (e.g.: the access control system) into Active Directory, for use by Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, and other enterprise products
