LiftOff 2.0 Release Highlights

braXos’ latest version of LiftOff Touchless Solution for Elevators delivers integration with access control systems and third-party apps for a holistic approach to building security management and a safer elevator experience.

New Release of LiftOff Touchless Elevator Solution Integrates with Access Control Systems and Third-Party Apps to Enhance Security Management and User Experience

Columbus, Ohio. (January 27, 2021) – braXos, a developer of building security and connectivity solutions, today released LiftOff 2.0, a major update of its touchless elevator solution. LiftOff 2.0 brings together braXos smart architecture with its full library of Steward connectors to enable integration of the LiftOff touchless elevator solution with building access control systems. The new release also offers an API that provides third-party app developers and property managers the ability to easily embed LiftOff into multi-function apps designed to increase tenant and resident loyalty.

LiftOff is an app-based touchless elevator solution that enables safe, secure and convenient vertical transportation in residential and commercial buildings. LiftOff puts elevator control in the hands of users through the intuitive smartphone app while providing building managers with increased control over building security by limiting access to authorized floors.

Access Control Integration

The integration between LiftOff and building access control systems achieved through braXos Steward connectors enables building and security managers to maintain one set of user permissions for building security, including access control and vertical security. Any additions or changes made in the access control system are automatically updated in LiftOff, streamlining provisioning, onboarding and security management.

Because LiftOff works with elevators from leading manufacturers and integrates with a wide range of access control systems, building owners with multiple properties can use LiftOff 2.0 to centralize user management across their properties without replacing existing systems.

App Integration

An additional feature of the release is the LiftOff API, which third-party app developers can use to embed LiftOff into multi-function apps. Adding touchless elevator controls to apps that support digitalization of other building services, such as scheduling resources or submitting maintenance requests, significantly expands the usability of these apps and can increase adoption through inclusion of a function that tenants use daily.

“We view elevator control as integral to building security and an important component of the tenant experience,” said Tom Skoulis, CEO at braXos. “Through the additional capabilities in LiftOff 2.0, we are enabling a more holistic approach to building security management while supporting the transition to digital tenant services.”

LiftOff uses beacons to recognize users as they enter the building and can call cabs before the tenant arrives at the elevators, reducing wait times and minimizing congestion in front of elevator banks that can occur with card-based touchless systems. Through LiftOff’s AutoLift feature, recognized users can automatically confirm their default floor when entering the building by shaking their phone or pressing a button within the app. LiftOff 2.0 also provides users with the flexibility to unlock the elevator kiosk to reach authorized floors.

The LiftOff mobile app is available today on the Apple App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit www.braxos.com/liftoff.
